Welcome to Year 1B:)
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Year One at Manor House School (CIPP division). I would like to take the time to introduce myself. My name is Yasmine Khamis and I will be your child’s class teacher. I was born and raised in Egypt and graduated with a BA in Business Administration and I also have a TEFL qualification for teaching English as a foreign language.
I will be teaching English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. You will find that I am very
Committed in assisting your children in their development growth. I enjoy helping children
Achieve a high level of competence to perform at their full potential.
We must work together to ensure a successful school year. Please make sure that you send your child to school every day on time, with all their supplies and ready to learn. With your cooperation your child will have a happy, exciting and rewarding year.
Please encourage your child, not only to do his/her homework but also do an additional 20 minutes of reading every day, to enhance their English language and skills. There will be a planner with homework and assignments that need to be signed daily. This process helps keep our communication regular and up to date.
Finally I have included some information that I hope you will find useful. Please take time to go through it and please so not hesitate to ask any questions.
Sincerely,
Yasmine Khamis
